Fruit - Natures Great Cleanser and One of the Keys to Weight Loss

We all know fruit is good for us but do we understand why and just HOW good for us? Fruit is nature's cleanser for the body, there are so many 'detox' diets and plans out there that claim all sorts from weight loss to more energy to generally making you feel better and yet the truth is that fruit can do all of that and tastes great at the same time.

Because of the high water content, nature sugars and various antioxidants contained with fruit it helps the body's natural waste process by flushing unwanted material from our systems. The Lymph system is often referred to as the body's waste disposal unit - there is about 40 times the amount of Lymph in your system as there are red blood cells!

This Lymph collects up waste and aims to get rid of it from the body, the problem being is that if your body isn't helping things along the Lymph just has to 'wrap up' the waste and store it - this becomes excess weight! Eat only fruit before lunch time!

Fruit should always be your breakfast of choice; we all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it gets your system going in the morning after your night's sleep.

 What better way to get it going that with food that is high in water and natural antioxidants? You can immediately start your system flushing the waste out that has built up from the day before.

Start the day with a banana for energy and then something more water based - Grapefruit is an excellent day starter and very good at refreshing your system. Then, if you need a snack during the morning make sure its fruit as well so that you can keep the waste system flowing.

Only eat fruit on an empty stomach

Due to the natural acids within fruit they do not mix well with other foods as your stomach cannot easily digest two differing food groups together. This will mean that it will take longer and more effort to digest your foods and therefore will rob you of energy.

Eat fruit an hour to two hours before you go to bed

Whether you eat one piece of fruit or a small fruit salad this is key to weight loss. Eating too much heavy food before bed will just ensure your body is digesting it for half the night and therefore you will wake up still tired. Fruit is easily digestible so it will not work your body too hard overnight. Plus, as mentioned previously, it is a great cleanser for the body and will help your waste system.
